Hi! I do the occasional oil painting, but not enough to really join a group. Is there any way just this piece could be accepted into the gallery? I would love to share it with an oil paint loving community.

Just joined this group, I've never painted with oil paints before. I've been too intimidated in the past and wanted to wait until I get back to school to get some formal instruction. But I wound up snagging a whole starter set for only $5 last weekend, so I thought I'd give it a go. Obviously it's a cheap-o brand and probably isn't going to be a great quality, but I thought it would be nice to get a feel for them before seriously investing.

I read the tutorials here, but does anyone else have some nice resources for a total newbie?
